The Dumbbell and Ring were also through the C8 @ f/6.3, 800 ISO, 10 X 3 min. M33 and M52 were through my Orion 80ED @ f/5, 800 ISO, 10 X 3 min. are three images I took this past weekend at the site. The closer view of Comet Machholz was taken on Friday night, Dec. 10, with Takahashi FS102 @f/8, SBIG ST2000XM with CFW8a, LRGB of 500 sec. each. The wide-field view of Comet Machholz was taken Saturday night with a Nikon 300mm ED lens @f5.6, ST2000XM with Mandel wide-field adapter, LRGB 500 sec. each. This image clearly shows that Comet Machholz has two tails (one likely an anti-tail). The image of the Crab Nebula (M1) was taken Saturday morning with a Celestron C9.25 @f/10, Ha (30 min.) LRGB (25 min. each). |

| Attached are two images of Comet NEAT
taken Saturday night, May 8. Both were shot through my FSQ. The black and white was shot through my SBIG ST2000XM, 3 one-minute exposures. The color was shot with Nikon F2, Fuji 800 Superia film. The comet was easily visible naked eye, but it did not appear to have a visible tail naked eye. |

| The attached photos (yes, photos, not CCD images) were taken this morning
(April 28) at the Site. I awoke at 4:45 a.m. and stepped outside my RV. Most of the sky was clear (see the Lagoon-Trifid photo), but the east and northeast part of the sky (where Comets Bradfield and Linear are located) was clouded over. While I was waiting and hoping the clouds would dissipate, I shot the Lagoon and Trifid (FSQ 106N, 35mm Nikon). At about 5:30 the clouds thinned considerably. Even through the high clouds, Comet Bradfield was very impressive. For those of you who have not been to the Site recently, the fairway is lush and green and ready for action. Come on out. |

(1/17) will have a hard time believing that the sky at the Site was excellent, up until about 3:30 a.m. Sunday. M81 & M82, and IC443 (Jellyfish Nebula) were shot before clouds rolled in. I was in the process of shooting M98 & M99 when the clouds came. That's why it is in black & white (actually the image shot through a red filter). The G, B & Luminance layer will have to wait until next time. All images shot through Takahashi Sky 90 with SBIG ST2000XM. |
